Texas native Matt Schnooberger is the Chef of Freight House along with Executive Chef Mike Perseo. A graduate of the Texas Culinary Academy, Matt previously worked for Hyatt Resorts in Texas and New Mexico, including most recently at the Hyatt Tamaya. During his culinary career, Matt has won various cooking contests including Rock the Boat (2013, 2014), Great American Seafood Cook-Off (2nd in 2013, Top 5 in 2014), as well as participating in the Great Taste Challenge in San Diego, CA. In his free time, Matt enjoys camping, brewing beer, and gardening in his aquaponic green house.
